EMMA MAY, PT

Education

  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy - University of Hertfordshire, UK. 2003 - 2007

  • Canadian Physiotherapy Association - Competency Examination 2017

After relocating to Canada in July 2015 I sat and passed both the written and practical aspects of the Canadian competency exam. What a challenge to sit exams 10 years post graduating in the UK and after more than 5 years specialising in the area of Women's Health Physiotherapy! It was interesting though to revisit some of the areas of the body I thought i'd left behind!

Moving to Canada

I moved to Canada in 2016 and life since has been a non-stop roller coaster of adventure...

Exams. Finding work. Exploring. Buying a boat. Learning to sail (well, following instructions on the boat). Getting used to being away from 'home'. Making new friends. Networking. Bringing a new skill set to the local area. Self promotion... All exciting...All with difficult aspects...

Most exciting was bringing Pelvic Health Physiotherapy to the South Shore! I offer this service respectfully and inclusively irrespective of your gender, sexuality, age and ethnicity. So if you have a problem with pelvic pain, or any bladder or bowel control problems I can help!

These are symptoms that can often be helped/improved, and they should not be 'put up with'.

There are many people suffering in silence because they don't know help is available, there is help available. Come and talk to me. I promise once you are in the door it will not be difficult to discuss your symptoms. And you will leave knowing you can take some control back.

I look forward to meeting you, helping you and/or your friends and family.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
